When I first left journalism in 2021, after more than 20 years in the business, I took a job at a healthcare technology startup company as their director of content and communications.
In that role, I reported to the VP of marketing and worked alongside some really smart people. In fact, I was one of few on our team that didn't have an MBA, so you as you can imagine, I had a little bit of imposter syndrome.
During my nearly two-year tenure at the company, I learned an incredible amount about the mechanics of marketing, both to businesses, and directly to consumers.
One of my colleagues, Pauline Baron, was our director of business-to-business (B2B) growth marketing. Pauline's worked at Google, at marketing agencies, and in the healthcare sector for more than a decade.
After we both left the startup, we kept in touch, and it was her idea to launch our new podcast, "Two Friends Talking Trends."
So, in episode 2 of our new show, you'll learn more about Pauline's journey to becoming a growth hacking guru!
